Petroleum shares go through the roof after sale of Rompetrol

The resumption of share trading for companies from the Rompetrol group has translated into a significant rise in quotes, with the increase spreading to other issuers involved in the petroleum business. Yesterday, Rompetrol Rafinare Constanta (RRC) increased its share price by 14.3%, Rompetrol Well Services (PTR) by 14.7% and Rompetrol Bucuresti (VEGA) by 24.8% - the highest increase allowed by the listed market segment.

Romanian oil man gets billions for his share in Rompetrol

Dinu Patriciu, the president of The Rompetrol Group (TRG) will get $ 2.17 billion after selling his 60% of TRG to the Kazakh company KazMunayGaz. After this transaction he is now the richest Romanian on the planet, surpassing former tennis player Ion Tiriac.

Residential investments are the most profitable

The return of investments in residential projects has reached around 10%, becoming the highest on the market. The increase in returns comes after a period in which other segments, the industrial, commercial and office segments had been more attractive, according to information from the consulting and brokerage company Coldwell Banker Affiliates of Romania. However, returns on the local market are falling due to a maturing market, with the only segment on the market witnessing an increase being residential projects, as there is a shortage of homes. In spite of the slight decline in yields, profits derived by investors on the Romanian market were among the biggest in the region in the past few years
